                          THE STORY OF OUR SHOW

Comedy After Dark was created in 1992 by Mike Burke and John Landolfi. It ran from 1992 to 1994. It was a talk variety show featuring many sketches and interviews. The show became a huge hit during it's first airing and remained number one through out it's entire run. It became the most watched show in the cable station's history.

Not too long after the show ended with it's 100th episode the cable station went out and was replaced. All hopes to rebroadcast the show's reruns were destroyed, until now! Thanks to the web this show can live on in cyberspace and reach a much bigger audience... THE WORLD!!!!

Although the show had no budget and was produced by a team who never did this before the show went onto great success and produced many great and funny moments. Although the material is outdated now (It ran during the end of the Bush '41" administration and the beginning of Clinton's) it is still funny to watch. The footage is not the best of quality as DVD and digital filming did not exist then. We filmed on VHS and all editing was done VCR to VCR (we had NO BUDGET!!!)

TRIBUTE TO JOHN LANDOLFI: 1975 - 2008 JOHN

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the death of John Landolfi. For those who have been a fan of mine for years you will remember John from my TV show "Comedy After Dark." It was with John's help that I was able to create and start the show. Without him it would have never happened. He was a good friend during those years and in High School. After High School we got in touch a few times.

Comedy After Dark became a success because of the people who were part of it. I cherish those memories and John is a big part of it. He had a way of pushing people forward and that was what he did for me. When he found out about my voice impersonations he told everyone. He told teachers and even the lunch ladies. That helped me grow as a performer. When I had the idea for the show he didn't really believe me at first. It wasn't until after the first episode was filmed that he saw how serious I was and that is when he believed in me and the show. We worked our asses off to make it work and bring that show to success and we did. I am where I am today because of it. John and everyone else who was a part of it and believed in it are responsible for our success.

I am stunned by his death. He was only 33 years old. I am sad for his family and sad that his life has been cut too short. I will always be grateful to John for his help, creativity, motivation, and humor during those years. I will never forget the time we took the show to Washington D.C. I have always felt that what we shot that week was some of the best stuff we ever did. All four of us had a great time and now to think you are no longer here is hard to comprehend.

To John's family and friends I give you my prayers and blessings. To all the fans of Comedy After Dark who I know remember John very well I say how sorry I am, and to John I say thank you and I will never forget you.

John Landolfi aka Margaret Ray, Tom Arnold, Head Injury club host, Weekend News host, announcer, White Flesh band member, Bladder control star, and friend gone way too soon at the age of 33 November 14, 2008.

FUN FACTS:

First TV show to break the news on John Wayne Bobbitt (Guy who's thing got chopped off by wife) and do comedy on it. The story had not hit main stream media yet!

First show to parody the Amy Fisher saga before main stream media.

Attempted to try out for David Letterman's replacement on NBC- our show and Mike Burke needed a WGA agent in order to have our material viewed- we didn't have one.
